About the methods
Do I have to pick one homeschooling method?
No, and most experienced families do not. Method labels are useful shorthand for a set of decisions about books, pace and structure — they are not a commitment. The majority of families describe themselves as eclectic within two years.
Can I change methods later?
Yes, and you probably will — often per child and per subject. The only thing worth avoiding is switching every few weeks, which prevents anything from working. Give a change one full term before judging it.
Which method is best for a child with ADHD or dyslexia?
Method matters less than fit: short lessons, movement, multisensory materials and one-to-one attention help almost every neurodivergent learner regardless of label. Charlotte Mason’s short lessons and Montessori’s hands-on materials both map well onto that, and a structured literacy programme is non-negotiable for dyslexia.
How accurate is this quiz?
It is a conversation starter, not a diagnosis. Ten questions cannot know your child. Treat the result as the first place to read rather than a decision, and read the runner-up too — the gap between first and second is usually small and genuinely informative.
